I've a laptop of Compaq Presario CQ040, I installed Fedora-9 but found that there is no sound. I ran lsmod, lspci and aplay -l command and the respective output is below

Can anyone help me to configure the sound card and get it working?

Hi rpandey05 - have same issue with fedora 11. Tried a number of suggested solutions - none resolving this. Shame - distro looks great and I have just migrated from windows - dual boot with vista is active, but this is holding me back. can anyone help us. My system shows the same audio controller that seems to be causing the problem.
