So, can't I use Fedora Core 6 with ATI card?

After series of unsuccessful or partly successful [Mandriva 2007 booting, Mepis sound, Ubuntu installation and so on], I plan to try Fedora 6. But what i found in this forum is it has no support for ATI card. I have ATI. They say install this and that for ATI but one said that it will not display GUI for ATI cards.
I am new and can't edit many things in text and also before installation, i can't edit. I just downloaded FC6 DVD and was trying to burn ISO. So, shall I give up the burning?

I had FC4 + 5 running fine on a Radeon 9700. Maybe if you specify the card someone will have a similar experience/fix for the problem.

I doubt it won't run at all (been a while since i had hardware that wasn't detected and required modules loaded), maybe they were referring to 3D acceleration? which requires ATI's proprietry drivers (which suck donkey balls).

You could also search the FC forums, and here with the card type etc. see what it turns up
