Red face SLOW KDE and DUMB MOuSE

hey there..
i just installed slackware 9.1 with kde and my xwindow seems to be runnin slower than the past versions..

why would that be? any ideas ?

and my usb mouse doesn't click rite when in X ... tried both the ps2 and usb types with mouseconfig but same result..
the cursor doesnt properly grab the windows when I try to drag them and my clicks dont really work fine .. I click like 4 times sometime and so on....

any suggestions ?

and im getting /dev/mouse no such or device notice now..
