Wink Silly Question ?


ok here's a silly one for you. a guy i know who builds pc's called me the other night and while i was talking to him i mentioned Linux. i pronounce it like "Line-ux" he said it was pronounced "Len-ux" so how is it supposed to be pronounced? i am very very excited about using this OS i tested the slackware live cd just , well for fun and to learn lol i can see why so many choose it over MS winblows lmao anywho thx for the advice.

thank you aaa i did as you said and found the audio of Linus pronouncing it himself. it seems even with the audio of him saying it there is still a conflict of how he is pronouncing it. i listend to the short audio clip and it sounds like "Lee-nus" so i will stick with that. although it appears that some feel it is pronounced like "lie-nux" or "line-ux" in english, Linus is pronouncing it in english in the clip so in english it is still "Lee-nus".

I always thought it was more like "LIN - ucks," and that's what it sounds to me when Linus says it.

lol no i am also just kidding but it sounds to me like
