I have used two OSs (win2000&RHL)by this time
Recently I would format my harddisk again over to reinstall ONE OS(of course , RHL)
I have not drived any cards after finishing install the new OS before(RHL)
Of course ,all the cards had been drived by wind2000(I thoutht so)
However,If I install ONLY ONE OS shall I need to drive them ??
please help this new guy!!!
expecting your relies with anxiety!!
sorry to all:
my poor English had made some misunderstanding
I just wanted to ask if I would install linux should I drive the cards(sound card, display card, network card)after the installation
it is important that :
BEFORE this there is NO ONE system in my PC!!
thanks again!
I still don't understand what you mean by "driving" the cards. I have this image of a PCI card with wheels and a steering wheel.
Anyway, I assume you are asking about installing the drivers, but don't know what the question is, since drivers are installed when you install the OS...
If you are reinstalling the same version and everything worked last time then you should be fine. Each operating system except for maybe the swap partitions is independent of each other.
No, you will probably not need to install any drivers, UNLESS for some odd reason one of your cards is not supported, but it sounds like they all are. BUT. if you are switching back to Windows only, then yes, you will have to install all the drivers again since windows 2000 doesnt have very good drivers for anything.
Windows 2000 = Yes you will need to install your drivers again
Redhat = Probably not, unless you want to play graphic intensive games
First of all thanks for the replies!
I am tired of my poor English.
however English is not my mother language
We all speak Chinese
I would study harder to improve my poor English
Thanks again!!
