screen overlap at res over 800x600?

Hi everyone,
when I set my screen resolution higher than 800x600 evrything starts to overlap, (making it so that I can move a window to one side of the screen, and it appears on the other side of the screen).
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I'd like to set it to 1024x768.
TIA

I think you could fix this problem by adjusting your monitor settings. Monitors have the ability to move, shape, and adjust the size of your screen.
