scanner problem

I've got a Hewlett Packard F380 all-in-one, the printer is working fine in SuseLinux 10.1 and recognizes the printer as F300 series (configured the same way).
Now the scanner unit in this all-in-one unit doesn't do anything, it is configured as a F300 series USB scanner, but SANE does not recognize this and the scanner cannot be configured in Yast.
Any other drivers perhaps?
Thanks.

scanner not found

Thanks, indeed, according to your information, my scanner in the HP Deskjet F380, should be supported by hplip, min. version 0.9.9, I've got version 1.7.x.x
Where the printer unit has been found and works correctly and could be found by Yast as F300 series, I told that the scanner unit has been configured as the F300 series USB scanner, but not configured. Now when I try to change this in Yast to have the scanner configured, I have to choose a scanner driver, but there is no F300 series, nor a F380 series indicated in the list at all and even nothing comparable, although it should be supported according to the sites you gave me.
How can? Can't just install any driver, it won't work.
Thanks for your reply.
