Sabrent PCI-G802 RaLink RT2561 Chipset

Does anyone have this card?? I have found that this chipset is natively supported by linux (or as far as I can tell)... It says that it conforms to PCI standard 2.2... I think that my Optiplex GX1 is only PCI 2.1... Will it work? Will the card dumb itself down to work with my hardware?? Any help would be great!

Configuration: Latest Debian stable, Optiplex GX1 500mhz p3 128mb ram. 10gb hdd.

Edit: I think that I may have answered my own question. I believe that the card is compatible with 2.1 as well as 2.2. I am going to give it a go on my own...See what happens!

Yes PCI is backwards compatible so it should work fine.

aptitude update
aptitude install module-assistant build-essential
m-a update
m-a prepare

That should prepare your build environment to compile the driver module..

That card would use the rt61 driver rather than the rt2500, a little more work, and you have to deal with a binary firmware file, but not too bad..
