[SOLVED] Running Racer game (not Tux Racer) on Slack 13.1

I have loaded Racer (http://www.racer.nl) in Wine. When I run the game I get the options box (it acts a bit strange, but does seem to work) adjust some settings, start the game & then the entire program goes away. dmesg/syslog shows the same error messages:
racer.bin[32573] trap divide error ip:f7377486 sp:ffbdd2a0 error:0 in libfmodex.so[f732e000+1
racer.bin[32597] trap divide error ip:f7441486 sp:ffba5d00 error:0 in libfmodex.so[f73f8000+1
Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?
