Post .run file for download or another file that can help to open and/or run downloads

I am currently stuck using the very basic version of linux that came on my msi motherboard install disk called Winki Msi. I have a custom built midtower computer its running on but at the moment I cannot access my pc as it had a masive OS problem. So I am using this small version of linux os to access the net and try to solve my other problems with my main machine. However its not meant to be used the way I have decided to attempt to do so. It had no file openers of any sort at first but I used firefoxes addons and got the "open it online" add-on's to get me started and have continued finding backdoors to accomplish turning this mini version of an os into something I can work with to use productively to fix the main problem with my PC. If Anyone can suggest or tell me what apps or exe's I need and where I can get them to be able to open and run anything I download It would be greatly apreciated. I am not familure with linux and trying to make this mini version a usable one is a little tricky. Thank you!

You won't run any Windows programs on it, Linux is not compatible with Windows. Your best bet would be to use a friends computer or go to an Internet cafe to download a full blown Linux version, like Ubuntu or Mint, or maybe one of the distributions that is meant for troubleshooting, like SystemRescueCD, grml or RIP-Linux.

My tower is running windows 7 home premium I am only using winki cause I have a msi motherboard. Is there No way to open any files ive download such as exe or zip files? Ive been reading about a program called wine that is supposed to help get around this issue for winki but again I cannot open the damn files for it. There seems like there must be a base opener that can open one or a file that can be downloaded directly as itself and not in a zip...or am I simply wishing for something thats going to be more trouble than its worth in the long run considering as soon as I can get my tower working properly with its windows OS again I will not use winki again? Thank you for your help whatever the case may be!

Distributions like Winki are not supposed to be extended by design. You won't have any luck with that. As stated before, if you are interested in running Linux on your system use a standard distribution.
But maybe I am misunderstanding your intenetion. What is it that you want to achieve with your Winki system that you can't with Windows or other Linux distributions?

I simply wish to be able open my downloads..videos apps or whatever but it is not very pressing. I have decided to just do a reinstall on my custom tower. Im going to lose a LOT of work but truth be told I went a little crazy when I got it (2 Tbs is not as much hard drive memory as you would think) and filled up my hard drive in a year with junk so its prolly for the best. I was really just tinkering around with this winki thing I found buried in my system and was getting frustrated. Thank you for your time and help though!
