Rescue usb - suggestions?

I'm looking for a rescue usb in case a dual boot machine fails (currently using Sparky Linux (rolling) + Windows 10).

Any suggestions for a solid, simple to use option? Ideally it should contain as many tools as possible to cover as sorts of issues.

Thanks

SystemRescue, Rescatux, PrRescue, Finnix, and so on. Look them up on https://distrowatch.com/search.php?o...&status=Active

As Sparky is based on Debian, other Debian-based Live systems like Kaisen Linux, Grml, or already mentioned Rescatux and Finnix would be most appropriate.

Thanks.

What I'm after is recommendations based on actual experience. Obviously there will be plenty of choice but they will differ by ease of use, applicability, etc.

I've always used SystemRescueCD. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and contains a lot of useful tools. Also it's small enough to go on a CD, which I trust more for a permanent record than solid-state drives.

that used to be my goto "rescue liveCD/DVD/USB" Now I just use whatever flavor of LiveUSB I have laying around the house. As long as you can boot to the live device, you can gather tools, investigate the hardware of the "dead" system, etc...
Keep a liveUSB in your pocket, backpack, bag, etc... of what ever flavor of Linux/BSD you are comfortable with and use that. You know the OS, you know the tools, that will/can help speed things up as you are not having to "remember" learn, relearn etc... new OS and tools.
