remove ubuntu, install joli cloud

I have a laptop with the latest version of Ubuntu installed as the only operating system. I'd like to install Joli cloud. I tried installing joli from cd and from usb flash neither will boot. I changed the boot order for both with no luck. Is there another method I can use? thank you.

Did you set Bios to boot the cd?
Did you burn cd as iso or image?
Did you use unetbootin for the usb?

I set bios to boot the cd and then the usb flash drive, no boot on either. I burned the cd as image. I also burned a dvd just in case. i used unetbootin for the flash drive. The download was an iso file. Thank You for responding I really appreciate the interest and help.

May the downloaded ISO is corrupt... Have you tried checking it against some sort of md5sum?

1.Restarting?
2.Booting again to Ubuntu?
3.Black Screen Only?

If Black Screen i think there's no problem on the iso image.

When I try to boot with usb or cd it goes right to ubuntu. I checked the iso with md5sum it matches. I used the same file to install joli on my wifes computer. My computer is a hp pavillion ze5400. with 512 mb of memory and a 40 gb hard drive. I'll get back to you on the graphics. Thanks

Are you actually pressing F5 or F6 to move it to the top of the list?

I move it to the top of the list press f5 or 6 to change values and then save and exit by pressing f10. I can also press esc when it's booting and change the boot order there. I installed Ubuntu from a cd and it worked just fine.

So is this thread solved?
As far as booting from usb(cruzer thumb-drive) on my machine it's listed under hdd's & shows cruzer in that listing.
Also on my machine to get a cd to boot I have to enable D2D transfer.

It's not solved. I'm still trying to install Joli cloud on a computer that has Ubuntu as its operating system. I was just telling you that the Ubuntu on my computer was installed via cd nd there was no problem. I'd just like to remove Ubuntu and install Joli cloud as my only operating system.

cd does boot on my toshiba. Also I'm unable to boot with flash drive so I think the problem probably isn't with the cd drive. I'll clean the lens anyway. I'm downloading jolicloud again to see if it makes a difference running another download.
