Question Relocation Error


Friends ,

I am using redhat enterprise 4 server . I am going to install oracle 9i into my server . During installation I got the following RELOCATION ERROR and cannot go to in Desktop mode using "startx" command . The error is the following :

"relocation error:libc.so.o : symbol-rtld-global-ro, version
GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld_Linux.s0.2 with link
time reference"

Plz tell me How can i get rid of this problem

Oracle is a commercial product, which should mean you bought it, which in turn means you're entitled to support. First stop would be Metalink. Alternatively check http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle9i.shtml or try downgrading your Glibc for the duration of the install: YMMV(VM).
