Reinstall


How I can reinstall my debian not lose my /home directory? I using hypervm if this have help

Also, just an odd question, why are you reinstalling? If something seems to be wrong, look at the log files and fix it ^_^. It's a lot easier to fix stuff in Linux, then it is in windows.

Did you create a home partition during your install. If so and you like to live at the edge, just re-install without repartitioning and do not re-format the home partition. Just hope it does not go wrong. Else, as others said, backup.

PS
Give your question a chance to go around the world; bumping a thread within 24 hours is often not appreciated. And LQ bumps your thread automatically for you after 24 and 48 hours, so no need for bumping.
