Hard to tell w/o seeing "the issue"...
If you could describe the problem in a bit more detail than
"it fails to compile at all", e.g. the error messages you
get that it fails with ...
Also: since 2.4.20 is ancient as well - is it not available
as a binary for that version of DeadRat?
there are dependencies that require us to use 7.2
I'm a curious person ... what are they? Who'd tie you in
with a distro that was out of service for donkey's years
and never was meant as a dedicated server-OS? :}
