PuTTy not connecting to RH 2.4.21-ELsmp


Trying to connect to a newly installed box using Putty but having message "Putty fatal error. Network Error: Connection timed. sshd is running on the machine. What do I have to configure on the Linux box?

Can you ping the Linux box? If the Linux box running SSH has a firewall running, make sure port 22 is open.

Thanks bsdunix. Problem was with ports. Functioning fine now.
