Problems with dpkg

Hello All,
Just tried to do the updates linux Mint 21.1
I got a message must run "dpkg --configure -a".
I tried this and it said super user privileges required.
As I am certainly not a super user can any one help.
I cannot do any updates at the moment.
Thanks in advance
Simon

sudo dpkg --configure -a
otherwise would be nice to know more, what was printed before that line.

Hi,
Thank you for that it has resolved the problem.
It would appear that there was a problem with NVIDIA file that wasn't responding.
thanks again
Simon
