Problem with Internet Access in Fedora core 6

Hi,
We are using P4 processor with 512MB ram.We have installed Fedora Core 6.When we try to set IP address in Network Configuration window the profile status always seems to be inactive.Our Proxy server address is 192.169.4.201 and we are using the port 3128.We are receiving the following error:

"Error,some other host already uses address 192.169.4.201".We are unable to resolve the error.Kindly help us with a solution for the error.

Sounds to me like you are trying to put the proxy IP in the wrong spot. Can you detail exactly what you are trying to do?

The IP for this machine should go in network configuration, and the proxy info should go in firefox settings (or whichever browser you are using).

My guess - you're trying to put the proxy address in as the machine IP
