you've told us absolutely nothing at all about your internet connection... how are we supposed to help you?? the most simple way is to do nothing special at all... does it not work already?

Hi,
I installed Fedora core 7 on my laptop, in windows the modem is installed on Com 3 port, so i assumed in Linux it should be on /dev/ttys2......but connecting it via Dial up, it says the modem is busy...infact i tried on all the ports ttys1 and ttys0...i get the same feedback that the modem is busy......

I tried to setup the Dailup connection using KPPP
please help me on this because i have been desperately finding a solution for this.

please don't drag up dead threads for new questions. if you have a problem start your own thread. and you'll need more useful info than that, model numbers etc... for a start.
