[SOLVED] Problem: linux mint 12 install hangs on win xp pro HP mini 110-1025dx netbook

trying to install Linux Mint 12 on hp 110 netbook with xp pro OS. Using iso image on usb to install. Problem is screen resolution during install. Cannot click on continue button in a screen. Tried to flip page using screen resolution button but screen goes black when you click apply button. Thx.

that's not relevant - it doesn't matter what OS is on the HDD, when you're not booting it.

Does your notebook have one of these awkward wide displays? I heard severeal times that some display drivers have problems if the aspect ratio is not the usual 4:3. You might try to connect an external monitor, though. At least during setup.
