printing help

Hi,
i am using mandrake 10.0 and my friend having windows xp with printer.
i need to share the printer with my friend.so for that what i to do first?
how can i print by cross platform printing .
these two systems are connected by internet not by a LAN.
can i take print through internet connection ?
for that what i need?

connected by internet? what do u mean? AFAIK you need samba to print via LAN..
