Question Printing in C++

How do I go about enabling my C++ program to print data to a printer? Do I need libraries to do this or is there a standard command to print to a printer? I am just needing to print text out.

Thanks,
Noah

I think ( though I haven't tried it ) you can print by calling the lpr ( the linux printer spooler ) and sending it your print on its stdin. ( or use a temporary file ).

Look up the lpr command and its use for programming.
