Printer Configuration Stalling

I am newbie that had successfully configured my network printer with Ubuntu 9.04. This is to say when I printed, I saw the icon load and a completion message indicate that my print job was successful. However when I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.1 . . I noticed that my print jobs did not complete most of the time and I have not seen the message box in a while.

I added the printer again with success however when I attempted to print a test page I got the error message: There was a problem sending document "test Page" (job 56) to the printer? I noticed that I get this message any time I select the "enabled" box.

How to diagnose?

open up a terminal and run the following command
Code:
lpstat
may have to use the sudo command to run lpstat. see if the printer gives anything as far as feedback like ready / down and the sorts.

I notice that when I try to "enable" the printer for a test page . . it gives and error.

I worked through CUPS and it seems to work ie. it printed the test page however when I try to print other pdf documents . . the same problem.

I ran $lpstat -t with results:
