Play MP3 in Mandriva

When I installed my Mandriva 2010 Spring, the Amarok player was installed together.
I can't play MP3. Then I downloaded and installed(at least, I think...) lame.

[ricardo@localhost ~]$ rpm -qa lame
lame-3.98.4-1plf2010.1
[ricardo@localhost ~]$

How do I make Amarok play MP3? E.g. how I associate lame and Amarok?

Greetings from Sao Paulo - Brazil

Ricardo

I think you need to install phonon-xine.

Cheers,

Yes. You need to install the xine backend in order to play mp3's in amarok.

Awesome! I knew it was that package, even though I haven't used Mandriva in a while. Add rep if you feel like it too. Cheers,

Josh
