Partition disk Linux on WinXP

Hi all,
I have Win Xp and I want to install Linux Suse 8.0.
I would like to see Linux partition while I am using windows and I would like to see the Windows disk while I am in Linux..
Now...
What is best.. to let Linux partition the hard disk that already has Win XP on it or to use another partioner software like partition magic for example.. to do the job..
Please advise..

I'm told Windows sulks if it sees other OS's and screws them up, so it's best to have a sort of 'one way mirror' - ie. Linux can see windows but not the other way round. Not sure how to do that tho...
BTW, is there any way to restart XP in DOS without a boot disk? I also need to partition the HD so I can install Linux, floppy doesn't work and I've been banned from doing anything that involves 'taking the back off' the PC so I can't replace it! XP was preinstalled (i.e.no recovery disks) and I'll get toasted if I mess it up...

Win XP on FAT32

Well
If you want Linux to see win XP then you have to have win xp on FAT32 file system.. if it is on NTFS.. that wouldn't work. Linux does not support NTFS filing of Win XP.
Your question about booting Win XP from DOS
Insert your Win XP CD and get into the Recovery Console by pressing R when you are asked ..
It should take you to a dos prompt.. If it does not, then I do not know any other way..
