ORBit-2.0-cpp - what is this?

Dear All,

I'm trying to install the gnomemm-all-1.3.17 gnome c++ libraries on my Slackware 9.1 machine. I've already installed ORBit2-2.9.8 to comply with prerequisite demands on other prerequisites for gnomemm. I get this when I run ./configure:

checking for gtkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 libbonobo-2.0 >= 2.0.0 ORBit-2.0-cpp >= 1.3.7... Package ORBit-2.0-cpp was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `ORBit-2.0-cpp.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'ORBit-2.0-cpp' found

I found a thread mentioning that there is a separate cpp-branch to this package. I haven't found a separate package specifically called ORBit-2.0-cpp, and don't know how to access this branch. Any clues?

Thanks,

Ben
