Question opening *.run files


Well i was taught windows early and just got Red Hat Linux (9. somthing) on my new computer and i am trying my best but i cant figure how to do anything i need a tutor or somthing so i downloaded several thing i thought i would need and most are *.run files HELP!!!!

type "sh filename.run"
that'll run the file,
also learn to use the "man" command. "man -k sh" or something like that would tell you how to use it.

you can also do:

./foo.run


You may have to make the file executable first, like:

chmod +x foo.run

First u must make the .run file executable...

chmod +x filename.run

After that, just type ./filename.run to execute.

The above assumes you're in a console and is in the same directory as the file.
