Not detecting USB Pen drive


Hi..I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 for ma Pc..I have successfully installd the o/s but usb drivers are not detecting to my pc.But I connected ma mabile using data cable..Its working..Please help me..!!

In a terminal run dmesg |tail -n 15 immediately after the pen drive is plugged in. You should see a reference to sdX (X being a, b, c)

The output should be like

Also try lsusb (if ubuntu supports it!?).

hi thanks for ur quick resonse..But i wont be able to log in to ma pc coz am out of ma home..So i have check this on this saturday..I wil try on saturday..
