No Sound with Suse and NForce

I recently installed Suse 9.0 on a Compaq Presario 6000. I finally got things up and running and really like it, but I can't get my NForce sound card to work. I get the following error when I attempt to configure it using Yast:

The kernel module snd-intel8x0 for sound support could not be loaded. The can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalied IO or IRQ parameters.

I've tried the drivers from the NVidia web site, but either I'm doing it wrong or they're not working. Any help would be great. I'm completely new to this so keep it simple please.

Ok. First question.
Did you completely pass on reading the instructions and try to use the Suse 9.0 rpm driver?
Or did you read the instructions and use the .src.rpm since suse has had 4 kernel updates since the original driver set was compiled for it.
