In looking over these upgrades that I saved, I see this:
Setting up mintinstall (8.0.9) ... Could not parse file "/usr/share/applications/screensavers/glitchpeg.desktop": K
ey file contains line ?several times a second. After a while, finds a new image
to corrupt. Written by Jamie Zawinski; 2018.? which is not a key-value pair, gr
oup, or comment
Listing '/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintinstall'...
Is that a problem ? Sounds bad !
Or this:
Checking smb.conf with testparm
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Loaded services file OK. Weak crypto is allowed

You have said the end part is most important. Here is the very end:

Good grief. I thought my questions were done !

No idea on the glitchpeg.desktop it does not appear to cause problems as the upgrade completes. The samba mine tells me that it works fine.
Do you by chance have time to help me on another thread ? It is How to Install Trezor Suite.
I was getting help from a Trezor forum person. He did not know I have root priveleges and had me start with sudo su.
I got to a point where the terminal said "Running as root without --no-sandbox is not supported."
When I showed him that, that is when we discovered I should not have used sudo su command.
I realize I could crash my system if I make a wrong move...
I would message you but I do not have enough posts yet.
I would sure like it if I could at least get your opinion on my terminal results as to if I have caused any harm .
And if I should go ahead and enter exit command twice and reboot and tackle this later....
You helped me so much on this complicated thread. Likely this other thread is much lesss complicated.
Thanks in advance if you are able to take a look at that thread.
Please, Maggie
Try and keep discussion on a single topic in a single thread. You have already seen what can happen if an individual who attempts to assist does not have full information.
With the post in this thread you have now spread it across 3 different threads. By keeping all the discussion in one thread someone who tries to assist can read the full thread, know what has been said earlier, and have a better idea of exactly what is occurring at that point.
