Networking Issue

Any Help?

I just bought an HPand installed Fedora 31 that has a wireless adapter card of:
02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter

I followed the steps below:

git clone https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce 191
cd rtl8821ce
chmod +x dkms-install.sh
chmod +x dkms-remove.sh
sudo ./dkms-remove.sh
sudo ./dkms-install.sh

When I ran the ./dkms-install.sh command I ran into this error. I turned off secure boot and tried to run this again and it still came up with the same solutions. I am pretty new to Linux and trying to learn but jumping into it and using my training videos that I have. Does anyone have any ideas?

[root@workstation rtl8821ce]# sudo ./dkms-install.sh
About to run dkms install steps...

[SOLVED]

So I had a friend come over and take a look at it. First thing that went wrong is I guess I did not pull down the right essential-build.

Fedora 31 does not come initial with the 'make' command. Once that was installed we found out that I had two of the same rtl8821ce scripts installed which were making a clash amongst the two. Once those two were deleted, we followed the same steps and everything was good.

Make sure to have secure boot turned off and to have the make command initial installed and it worked perfectly!

sudo dnf install dkms kernel-devel
sudo apt-get install --reinstall git dkms build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
git clone https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce
cd rtl8821ce
chmod +x dkms-install.sh
chmod +x dkms-remove.sh
sudo ./dkms-install.sh

BIG ['Rep'utation] +1 ( Did you find this post helpful? Yes )
for giving!!! the solution (to help future searchers of this problem)

Maybe someone will 'gift' you with a reply to your ZRT
(systemd.unified_cgroup_hierachy=0 isn't a 'command(1or8)'; it's a kernel parameter)

(&when systemd replaces the kernel next 4/1, even slackware will have both apt&yumi [i hope])

Minor cosmetic LQ notes:
There's a 'Thread tool' at TOP of page, to use to prepend [SOLVED] to Title:

Also, a more descriptive (than 'NetIssue') [Thread] Title:, like:
Quote:
Error DKMS tree already contains ... cannot add same module/version combo >once
would be nice. (You can ONLY do this by:
'Edit' button *on #1* AND then clicking: 'Go Advanced' button)
