networking issue

hello friends

i have three linux boxes

Fedora laptop
ubuntu work laptop
ubuntu desktop

they are all on the same network
ping works fine all three ways but having a problem with ssh between them

they all have ssh installed

when trying to ssh from both laptops to desktop ... it works fine

but when trying to do ssh from laptop to laptop or desktop to either laptop

i get this error
im trying to ssh from my desktop to my personal laptop
same error when trying ssh from my desktop to my work laptop
same error when trying to ssh from my laptop to laptop

Code:
 ssh laptop
ssh: connect to host laptop port 22: No route to host
any idea why ?

also
in laptops i added entries in hosts.allow
