Post network connection problem


i am having ubuntu installed and i want to connect to internet i am having a wired connection can you guide me how to resolve the problem and connect to the internet

Hi

Did you have the wired connection connected while installing Ubuntu? If not and as it,s a new install I would reinstall with wire connected It is the recommended way to install..

No I didn't have the Internet connection while installing Ubuntu. Now if I again install Ubuntu what will happen to the already installed Ubuntu what are the steps to uninstall previously installed Ubuntu.

Hi

It will give you the option to write over what is installed already, Dont know how you set it up in beginning

Open a terminal window and type 'ifconfig' and see if you have your ethernet interface (usually eth0). It may get configured automatically with DHCP.
