Angry Need to partiton, don't know how to boot into dos with XP

I want to install Red Hat 7.3 on my IBM Thinkpad, but there's no floppy drive! I need to boot into dos to partition my HDD with FIPS, but I can't remember how to do it, and I have hardly any XP experience, is it even possible to boot to a dos prompt?? If so, how?? Your help would be greatly, and I mean greatly appreciated!

In w2k if you press F8 during startup you can choose to go to command prompt, it might be something similar in XP.

Hi,

U could try and get your hands on a program called partition magic. http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/

with that program u can partition your drive without losing data and it is XP compatible.

another programm with a free demo version http://www.partition-manager.com/n_pm_main.htm

I had to bend over and take the pounding for Partition Magic, but hell, it worked great.
