Unhappy Mtpfs suppprt


Hi guys, how to connect and mount my android to my sys. I am using centos 6.6 I have tried to install mtpfs from yum but it says no package found then I downloaded mtpfs file, it is in rar fornat. Now how can I install that rar file through cmd. Or any other way so that I can connect my phone?

Hi!

I don't run CentOS myself, but instead of mtpfs, try jmtpfs. See this thread:

Running Fedora here. I wrote myself a script to mount my phone in a mode that would actually alow me to read and write files on my phone. The appropriate rpms are:
[code]simple-mtpfs-0.2-5.fc23.x86_64
gvfs-mtp-1.25.3-1.fc23.x86_64
libmtp-1.1.9-2.fc23.x86_64[code]
Not sure if all are available for CentOS; earlier versions work fine too.
