Im using mandrake 10.1 rite now and im having diffficulties installing codecs for both mplaye and xine. Ive looked in this whole forums but lots of stuff doesnt make sense to me. I dont know how to install those codecs. When i try to configure a file , it says not allowed or summin. plz help me coz i cant play my divx or xvid videos and i want to install other codecs too
first of all to install something you must be logged in as root(normally it is not advised to log in as root), you can do this by typing su in console!
second what is shown when you try to play movie?
i am asking because i used mandrake 10.1 too and i didn`t had any problems!!!
