Angry Xine Win32 Codecs

I have Mandrake 9.1 which came with Xine 1.0.1 installed. I couldn't play WMP 8 or 9 WMV files so I downloaded the codecs from the Mplayer site and installed them in /usr/lib/win32. Still no go. How can I get Xine to recognize the new codecs?
