mozilla browser disappear into task bar

every time i open the browser it pops up once real fast and then disappears into the task bar not to be found. I guess that the window just closes right after opening. How can i prevent this?

Try running mozilla from a shell to see if it gives you any error messages. This will give you a hint as to what the issue is.
