yea, i ran on fedora core 3 for about 2 months. then i started a project that REQUIRES that i run on windows. so ive been on it since about febuary. well, now wine supports the tools i want. but fedora got all goofed up when i reformatted and reinstalled windows. i tried to save it but, alas, i can not.

ive decided to switch over to mandrake because it seems to have a very user friendly interface based on screen shots i have seen.

i need someone assistance once again in installing and getting going on linux. someone who can spend a day on and off helping me. mostly at night(if tonight, i would love you).

im at GMT -5 (east coast USA). i have AIM and xfire but i doubt you guys have xfire ^_^;

what i will need help with is.....

picking which type of mandrake to install (all the ix869 or whatever)
finding and installing plugins (mp3, etc)
installing wine and getting it set up for winamp and Steam (counter strike)
to my knowledge, ut2k4 runs on linux out of the box (runs better in fact) so no worries there
if at all possible, id like to get xfire running on linux.(anyone want a challenge?)

i already have my partitions set up and ready to go.
