Hello and thanks for having me. I have a problem with the above insomuch as when I'm working on Inkscape, the programme just closes, no indication, no warning just slam shut.
Now I've had a problem resolved re: my touchpad (oversesability) and that has been mostly cleared by downloading the latest kernel. Could it be there's a connection, don't know.
Thinking it was the Inkscape program, I uninstaled and then reinstaled to no avail. I notice that my laptop which is running Mint 19.2, woun't work correctly on Libre Draw i.e. some of the functions won't work...like crop etc.
I'm baffled, can someon eplease advise?
Upgrade to the latest 1.0.1 which fixes some crashes.
I find that the most crash-prone operations are closing windows when multiple windows are open, and undo. I edit one file at a time and save frequently.

I have tried umpteem times to upgrade Inkscape .92 even to the point of upgrading Mint OS from 19.2 > 19.3 but neither support the latest version of Inkscape i.e. 1.0.1. so having upgraded to Mint 19.3 I can luanch Inkscape and ascertain whether there's any improvement.

You have to wait for Mint to catch up, or switch to a distro that has Inkscape 1.0.1.
I find that Inkscape 1.0.1 still crashes when the last window is closed if more than one window was open.
