Minolta PagePro 1250W and FC 3 not working.

Hey All,

My Minolta QMS PagePro 1250W will not print w/ Fedora Core 3.

I go through the New > "Add a new print queue" process, and all goes well. It seems that the correct driver is installed.

When I try to print, the file seems to be processed and sent to the printer, but nothing prints. It is as if the information leaked out the USB cable on the way to the printer.

After installing the printer, I did select the option to print a "test" page -- nothing, nada, no signs of life from the printer.

What print manager are you using to set up the printer - CUPS, KDE's Print Manager, GNOME's, or another one?

The steps to take to diagnose the problem will vary depending on your setup.

The steps I took:

1. Clicked on KDE Panel
2. Clicked Systems Settings
3. Clicked Printing
4. Entered root's password
5. Clicked New
6. Entered the "Add a new printer queue" > forward
7. Queue name > "Minolta"; Short Description > "Black and White" > forward
8. Locally-connected; /dev/usb/lp0 Minolta-QMS Page-Pro 1250W > forward
9. I then selected "Minolta" > "PagePro 1250W" > forward
10. finish
