Manipulating NICs ?

Hi.

I have fc3 running as server without gui, i figured out how to define default gateways for interfaces but not how to define dns, i tried to look into some files like /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:

DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=10.255.255.255
IPADDR=10.0.0.3
NETMASK=255.0.0.0
NETWORK=10.0.0.0
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet

and tried to add stuff like "gateway = ..." and "dns = ..." but only the gateway worked, still no dns.

Please help.

DNS ( in the sense of resolving names ) is found in /etc/nsswitch.conf and /etc/resolv.conf

The DNS sever settings are in the /etc/resolv.conf file.

search domainname.com
nameserver 10.10.10.1
nameserver 10.10.10.2
nameserver 10.10.10.3

You need to put in the correct domain name and IP address.
