make-dpkg: command not found

Hello,

This is a question from newbie, if you could give me simple and straight forward answer, I would appreciate it.

I found the several commands in Debian which can not be found in Mandrake 9.1:

make-dpkg clean
make-dpkg --revision=[date].01 kernel_image
dpkg -i kernel-image-2.4.21-[date].01_i386.deb

Can anybody tell me what are the same commands in Mandrake 9.1?

Thankz,
Kadalz

I don't know Debian nor Mandrake, but these commands appear to me like those while building some typical modules. Are you sure they are bash command in Debian?

I tried to update the kernel and patch it with ACPI. The guideline use Debian OS, but mine is Mandrake.

After do "make menuconfig" which Mandrake and Debian have the same command, then I'm stuck with "make-dpkg" and "dpkg" commands, which are not recognize by Mandrake.

Thankz,
Kadalz

make-dpkg -- > make-kpkg

This command build kernel package for Debian only.
Please, read README file in kernel source tree.
