make - command not found

hello

I'm having some problems trying to install anything.
After the configuration of the program I type "make" but always get the error:
Quote:
bash: make: command not found
what should I do?

Hi , good day. Well , as i know suse 9.1 won't install most of the things like make , g++ , gnome. We have to do it by our own. Use Yast2 to install it. Good Luck , enjoy.

Further help with Make

Sorry, I've only just acquired Suse 9.1 so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to use YAST instead of using the make comand, or how to install the make command on the system.

Thanks.

Berkeley.

bjw235 you have to download a package for your distro and then install it with your distro's tools.
