loopback problems


Im running RH 7.2

I configured the network of the computer but
When I test the loopback
I get the next error
trying 127.0.0.1
Unable to connect to remote host
my /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost.domain localhost
198.168.0.1 CANCERBERO.HQ.COM CANCERBERO

I had the same problem with rh7.2. Make sure /ect/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network are right, then do
>lfconfig lo 127.0.0.1

Hopefully that will do it. It's odd, the loopback device should be setup properly on installation. We probably messed sth up after install. Anyway, hope this helps.
