LILO & W2K boot restore

Having dorked up LILO so much that I was getting 99 (should be 666) until my screen filled up and not really finding a solution on this site, I decided to restore my W2K master boot (mbr). Really mom, I didn't touch a thing. There were some references to the correct procedure, but not a detailed one, so I will put it here for other newbies who might find themselves in the same situation with Linux (Mandrake 8.2) and W2K. This works fine on a two HD system, one with linux and the other with W2K

Repairing the MBR for W2K

1) boot from the W2K cdrom
2) select repair windows installation
3) select repair using the console
4) at the c:\winnt> (could also be c:\windows> if you upgraded), type fixmbr
5) when it is done, remove the cdrom and reboot
6) you should be a W2Khappy camper then or as happy as one can be using W2K
