i having trobule sending out the msg. sometimes i able to send a msg to a person, but sometimes can't. what is the problem?

Try running your ICQ client from an xterm (or konsole, or whatever) and see what messages are spouted onto the console. You've not not really given enough information to diagnose any given problem.

The Licq website even states that the current version doesnt always revieve/send messages and they are working on the fix. If you still want to use licq i would use the one from the cvs, otherwise GnomeICU is a very good alternative to licq but the sounds dont work as they are supposed to but i can live with that.

im having trouble installing the CVS version
