libjpeg.so.62

When I run a certain binary I get this error message:
"error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

But when I ran a search libjpeg.so.62 was there -
# find / -name "libjpeg.so.62"
/usr/lib64/libjpeg.so.62

I tried googling it a bit and what I could gather was that libjpeg.so.62 was a 32 bit library. I'm using a 64 bit machine.
Is this the case and if so the source of the problem here. Any ways I can work around this ?

If your application is 32bit : Install a 'libjpeg-6b-....i686'.

Please do # yum provides */libjpeg.so.62 to find the version.

Examples : libjpeg-6b-43.fc10.i386 , libjpeg-6b-46.fc12.i686.
( The first is for Fedora 10, the second for 12, 13.)

Or alternatively, install the application as a 64bit version.
