keyboard problem

I just installed redhat 8. All through the setup process my keyboard worked just fine, but when i get to the login screen it will not respond. The lights don't even come on. I can't even log on to change settings or anything.

are you sure that your keyboard is in working condition? are you sure it didnt come loose? if you are dual booting check to see if it works in windows if not put the redhat install disk in and see if it works in there as soon as you have established whether it does ot not exit out by hitting cntrl+alt+del or simply hitting the power

yes, i know the keyboard works. it works fine in windows and in the grub boot. it works fine all the way up to the point when you reach the login screen, and the LED's turn off. then when i shut down, as soon as it starts shutting down it works again. is there some way to login without the keyboard? or maybe change the hardware settings without actually being in linux?
