I have just install linux slackware 8.0.
i reboot the computer when it allmost have boot, i got this massage.
Kernel Panic: No init found. Try passing init=optional sorry about my englesh
Something like that should never happen after installation. This error means booting is wrongly configured. The installer should configure it correctly. OR there might be a problem wit partitions, but that's unlikely (all packages were installed).
Try and install it again. If still no success, maybe try your installation cds with different machine. It may be soething wrong with them.
